How does the virtual card work?
At Checkout, the card information is entered as a Card-not-present card. The issuer and payment network review the request, and the seller can apply its own address, country, amount, and risk controls.
Debit, Credit and Prepaid are not the same
- Debit subtracts from the available balance of the card or account
- Credit is based on credit granted by the issuer
- Prepaid is provided with a certain amount before consumption
- The type of card can affect the acceptance of some merchants
AniCards is a Corporate Debit Card and should not be referred to as a "Credit Card" in the Content.
Advantages and limitations
- Digital delivery and no need for a physical card
- Ability to separately manage card information
- Suitable for many online payments
- Acceptance not guaranteed at all vendors
- Dependence on Billing Address, country and destination service risk system
What information is needed before buying?
- Card type and issuing country
- Purchase amount and currency
- Periodic payment required
- Expected Billing Address
- Refund rules and failed transaction
The merchant payment and the card purchase cost are different
The card purchase total includes the dollar balance, issuance fee, conversion rate and any fees disclosed in the quote. Calculate the required balance from the merchant’s final checkout total, not just the advertised plan price.
