International payment guide

Why is Visa card declined?

Card Declined does not have a single cause. The card issuer, network, processor, and merchant can each decline a transaction based on inventory, information, technical limitations, or risk.

Common Reasons for Decline

  • Insufficient balance for amount, tax or hold
  • Wrong card number, date or CVV
  • Billing Address or ZIP mismatch
  • Expired, disabled or restricted card
  • 3D Secure or additional authentication required
  • No support for Debit, card country or periodic payment
  • Seller or exporter risk control

What to do after the error?

  • Record the error text and amount
  • Avoid repeating the transaction quickly
  • Check balance with sufficient margin
  • Match the address and card information
  • Read the service payment terms
  • If necessary, contact the support and service of the destination

Why is repetition dangerous?

Repeated attempts can generate a risk signal or be processed as an independent transaction each time. At AniCards, a failed attempt due to insufficient balance according to the Terms can incur a penalty of $0.5.

Fix the probable cause before retrying; Simply repeating the same information is not the solution.

What information to send for support?

  • The name of the destination service
  • Transaction time and amount
  • currency
  • Text or error code
  • The last four digits of the card if needed

Do not send full card number, CVV or image of sensitive information in general message.

What to do if your Claude account is banned

Keep the restriction message, purchase date and receipt. An account ban is different from a payment error or usage limit.

A payment card does not guarantee protection against bans or replace identity verification; buying through Google Play or App Store provides no such guarantee either.
