- The balance should cover the purchase amount, currency conversion and temporary reservation of funds.
- The card must be active; A blocked or canceled card cannot be used.
- Enter the card number, expiration date and CVV accurately.
- Match the name and billing address with the card information.
Store conditions and payment ceiling
Some hotels, car rental companies and shared services do not accept virtual cards. Check the transaction limit and card spending.
Temporary reservation of money and currency conversion
The acceptor may temporarily reserve funds (Hold) to verify the card. Keep enough inventory for that.
When buying with different currencies, consider the fluctuation of exchange rates and possible fees.
After unsuccessful payment
- Recheck balance, card status and entered information.
- Make sure that the virtual card is accepted by the store.
- Wait a little for the temporary problem; If the problem is with the payment page, try a different browser.
- If the error persists, send the store name, time, amount and error message to support.
Before buying a card for Claude
- Check account status, verification prompts and eligibility to use the service.
- Check the plan, currency, tax and total in your account’s checkout. A $1 card alone does not cover a paid subscription.
- If you have an active subscription, check its purchase channel and renewal date before making another purchase.
