Does Azure officially support virtual Visa cards?
Azure payment-method documentation states that virtual and prepaid cards are not supported. If you need a trial account or a new card setup, review this restriction before spending. A card purchase alone does not provide trial credit or Microsoft account approval.
An Azure billing card or a ready-made account?
You add the card to your own Microsoft account. Check the required amount, trial eligibility and resource costs after upgrading before buying.
The merchant payment and the card purchase cost are different
The card purchase total includes the dollar balance, issuance fee, conversion rate and any fees disclosed in the quote. Calculate the required balance from the merchant’s final checkout total, not just the advertised plan price.
Before adding the card to Azure
- Check the Billing Profile country and address
- Specify the amount and currency of the bill or selected plan
- Enter the card information without spaces and according to the AniCards panel
- Consider enough inventory for possible test withdrawals
Azure cost management
After activation, set up Cost Management and budget alert. The end of the trial credit or exceeding the free quota can cause a bill.
Payment error correction guide
If Azure does not register the payment method, send the error text and non-sensitive Billing Profile information to support to verify the country, address, balance, and checkout steps.
